Arriving at Shanghai

Pudong International Airport or Hongqiao International Airport

At present, there is no civilian airport in Suzhou.  Most travelers arrive at Shanghai as the first stop before proceeding to Suzhou.  Suzhou is only 88 km away from Hongqiao International Airport or 130 KM from Pudong International Airport.

Conference Shuttle Bus from Pudong International Airport

On July 3 and 4, 2008, conference shuttle bus is available from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Sheraton Suzhou Hotel and Towers.  Traveling time is appropriately 1.5 hours. Please pay attention to the welcome sign boards at the exit gates. The conference hotel is the only drop-off point.

Alternative Travel Options

1 Limousine:

Single trip is RMB350 per head. Required a minimum of 2 passengers (maximum of 4) in a car with the same pick-up and drop-off point. Please send your request to the conference administrator at email address isgo@cityu.edu.hk before 26 June 2008.

2 Coach:

The Coach Station of Pudong International Airport is located in the south end of parking lot on the second floor (near toll exit), providing coach services to a number of nearby cities, including Suzhou.   Telephone: 021-68345743

3 Train:

Suzhou is a major stop along the Beijing-Shanghai railway line and there are more than 40 daily train services which stop at Suzhou Railway Station. There are daily services to and from Beijing, Shanghai, Xian and many more main tourist areas in China to and from Suzhou. The Suzhou Railway Station is located on the north side of the city.
