Leveraging ICT for Resilient Organizations and Sustainable Growth in the Asia Pacific Region
The conference theme for PACIS 2008 is “Leveraging ICT for Resilient
Organizations and Sustainable Growth in Asia Pacific Region” and
especially welcomes papers addressing economic and social impacts of ICT
in the Asia-Pacific region. How can the region achieve sustainable ICT-enabled
economic growth and yet be able to address the rising ICT-induced social
issues such as digital divide and intellectual property rights? How can
ICT make economies and organizations more competitive and resilient in
the midst of volatility and turbulence? What lessons can we learn from
the impacts of ICT in developed economies and how can we apply these
insights to accelerate growth in emerging economies?
